The Salem County Fair is held annually at the Salem County Fairgrounds on Rt. 40 in Pilesgrove, NJ. This event is free to the public, although there is a small parking fee. This is a true agricultural fair with 4-H, livestock, home economics, horse shows, team penning, BBQ, food and musical entertainment, tractor pulls, Salem County Fair Queen and more.
Voted "Best Event 2007," the Salem County Giant Pumpkin Carve is held annually at the Salem County Fairgrounds on Rt. 30 in Pilesgrove, NJ. Giant pumpkins will be turned into works of art by amateur and professional artists alike to benefit Meals on Wheels of Salem County, Inc. Musical entertainment, free hay rides, face painting, food and more!
Each year, over 100 scarecrows line the streets for judging at the annual Woodstown Fall Festival. Enjoy wine tasting from local area wineries, a chili contest, crafters, food, activities for the kids, musical entertainment & more! Woodstown also has an antique car show and a 5K run planned - always the last Saturday of September!
As interest in Salem County tourism continues to grow, we are certain that the number of Salem County Agricultural Fairs, Food & Harvest Festivals will continue to grow. Other festivals in Salem County include the Woodstown Friends Meeting Strawberry Festival and Supper, the Lower Alloways Creek Crab and Craft Festival, the LAC Fire Company Muskrat Dinner and the Salem Rotary Club Muskrat Dinner.
The annual Elmer Harvest Day Festival is held in October in Elmer, NJ. The festival is a fun-filled day with crafts, music, food, a car show, and much more.
